We at Butterflywings.sk make jewellery from butterfly wings of naturally dead butterflies, paintings and other home decorations using various exotic species of butterflies and other insects. The specimens are mainly sourced from natives of developing countries, thus providing them with a regular income and helping them to make a better life in impoverished areas. Our friends raise butterflies and insects on their farms or catch them in the wild. However, they only catch males in the post-mating season so as not to endanger the biological balance of nature. They do not kill the butterflies, but let them die naturally. Once exported to us, the wings are processed and inserted into surgical steel components in the form of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, etc. We only use commonly occurring insect species whose populations are not endangered and which are not subject to international CITES protection.<\/p>\n
